Crossing Atlantic in Nov/Dec.
First port of entry will be
Barbados.
I intend to complete formalities in Bridgetown.
I read that the
government were building a new custom & immigration building so that cruising yachts no longer needed to go to the
Cruise Ship terminal to clear in. This was to happen in conjunction with a 40 berth cruising yacht facility at Shallow Draught
Dock.
Can anyone confirm that the new custom building is completed and that its now easier to clear in and that you no longer need to wait for
Cruise ships to leave?
If so can I simply call ahead that I'm arriving, hoist the Q flag and once contact made
head straight to a berth?
Any other info on cruising around
Barbados would also be much appreciated. Are there enough
anchorages (prefer to
anchor when I can)
Thanks
