Hello,

I am complete newby with some experience around boats and driving a Navy ship etc... but am willing to provide assistance and extra set of hand for a chance to learn if you need help with any renovations or maintenance in the socal area.

I am looking to liveaboard in the future and what better way to learn than to assist someone else and pay it forward.

Hi Pete, sorry I mentioned socal, that would be southern california. Particularly San diego.

Ha, I'm not very good at foreign languages and as for the Merican spell checker on CF,

Go on, were on Earth is Nofl, or is it in the Sea of Tranquility?

Well I confess I made up that abbreviation for North Florida. Opposite end of the country from Socal.

Here's another one for you that is in actual use. Where's LA? Easy you think, Los Angeles or maybe Louisiana. Both wrong. Stands for Lower Alabama, at least in certain parts of the US.

Hmmm.... the last time I answered a request like this on the CF forum, the guy expected me to pay him over $3000 for five weeks of learning.

So Much for my point a few weeks ago about the use of acronyms and all the nasty criticisms I got. When I first read the post I considered that the last word was a smartphone auto correct/interference. or typo for the word social.

It is so very helpful when posters state clearly what their geographical location is. (postal address not required of course) that would just be too personal.
