I'm wondering if any of you could bring some light to my doubts as I would like to find crewing positions to central or south America from the South east of Asia. I'm currently in Thailand. And I want to know what routes this journey can be done through as well as the way to find some crewing positions either in this forum or out here.
Thanks

I think you will find it very difficult to find a crew spot going that way since most trans-Pacific passage-making is westward in the trade wind belt. The two ways to go would be in the North Pacific via Japan and Alaska and then down the coast of the Americas or via New Zealand to the southern tip of South America. Only a few boats a year take either of these journeys. They are long and hard routes. If you had to go by sailboat you could go westward I guess via the Indian and Atlantic oceans. Pleasant trip but a long, long way.
