Kangaroo Island northerly safe harbour

Hi. Where does one find safe and comfortable anchorage in a strong northerly from the western end of Kangaroo Island (snug cove etc)? I know good planning will probably dictate I make my way back along the north coast to Kingscote or American River in time for the wind change but if I'm on my way to Port Lincoln that might not be ideal. A few pointers on the best anchorages to sit out a strong northerly when headed westward would be appreciated. Pondalowie Bay?
