At times I have used a cheap jar of salsa added to the above.

At other times I used BOLD & SPICY A-1 sauce added to the above with a wee bit of LIQUID SMOKE.

A large bottle of cheap Italian Dressing from Wal-Mart, GREAT VALUE brand, at times.

I always let this set over night if not for several days, and then the coals are in-direct heat, not over the coals, and for about 6-8 hours. The last 2 hours are spent basting the meat in it's own juices mixed with what ever marinade used. I also check the meat hourly once it starts on the grill. OH, the last hour, or 30 minutes I leave the foil open while I baste, so the meat can get a wee bit of crisp on the top......i2f

Safe voyage, John. We'll be in Kailua all of July. Just south of Kaneohe Bay, which I think I recall you may be heading for. Hope to see you two!

Yes, Hud that would be good! The canal transit was a piece of cake. I was the center boat both days. The first day I did all the hp work working us through. I told the advisor the strbrd was dragging me down. He did nothing about, and Imagine got a workout. What, or who ever created us did a wonderful Job in Panama....it's pretty, and we will be back to spend time here.

The second day I told the advisor of this, and he had all three of us working together. Things went much smoother & easier for Imagine. There is an easterly wind right now about 10 knots. It would sure be lovely if it could hold for a couple of days, or more. Although Passage Weather shows a lot of motoring in my near future.

I am sure Melanie has posted up some pics of the Canal. I have been too busy to put much thought to typing. Getting to Hawaii should allow for all those thoughts, and more.......i2f
