You need to check out www.reachingsouth.com a group of 3-4 early twenty somethings who have sailed from Michigan through the canal and Great Lakes to the Bahamas.They write incredibly well and I had the good fortune to meet them and spend a couple days with them when they sheltered in our marina on Lake Ontario.
