Whoa I should have checked back to this thread, I didn't realize how many additional great blogs they have been added. I'm excited to announce that I bought a boat this last weekend. I am now the proud owner of a Catalina 27. It shouldn't be too much longer until I have my own stories to share here!

You can read half our website.

One half is written by a 27 year old and the other written by a 50 year old.

She has the year age of 27, I have the mental age of 27.

Her mental age is 50.

Lets just split the difference and you go read someones elses website

Just an update to my post, I've moved my blog to a dedicated website. Please check it out & follow! It also has a Facebook page, which many readers find more convenient as a way of keeping up.

Hey Erick,
I have been following your blog for sometime. I loved the documentary that you put up about pestilence recently. Good luck on the window project.

Re: Help Finding Young Sailing Blogs

It's great to see so that so many folks around my age, and younger, are getting to enjoy the sailing world. For me, one of the best things about being in a boatyard has been spending so much time with all of the older (than me) liveaboards, cruisers and sailors but I do wish there were a few folks my age around. It's good to know that if I can ever get my boat finished and on the water that I may run into some of ya'll..

My blog is primarily a log of the restoration of my Pearson 28-1 but after it is in the water I'm sure I'll talk about sailing/cruising. I find the blogs with lots of personal details interesting, but don't add many myself....

Poolio's sailing and travel blog.

oh yeah, I'm in my early 30's and spent most of my 20's land-cruising in a VW Westy..

Here is another one for you: Sailing Simplictiy. She was on this site for a while, too.

Re: Help Finding Young Sailing Blogs

My wife and I are in our late 20's and currently cruising Central America on a 1985 38' Endeavour. We started in South Florida and are in Belize right now. We are cruising with two other boats with each with another young couple. All three boats brought thier dog's along too! We are having an amazing time. We are trying to make our website reflect how great this life is so please check it out and leave any comments you have.
Cheers,
Ted

Re: Help Finding Young Sailing Blogs

I am in my early twenties, recently set sail after being made redundant.

Save those pennies! Good Luck!

Some great links by the way.

Re: Help Finding Young Sailing Blogs

I'm 22 and bought a Bristol 24 last fall. I'm fixing her up and plan on living aboard her this summer in the Great Lakes and then doing a loop around the Atlantic next summer.
