Circumnavigating the Baltic, Summer '15

I've sailed the Baltic on my own boats since '05, and have been to Gotland, Åland and the Estonian islands as well as the Gulf of Riga, but have never sailed the South Baltic. So, owing to the unique opportunity of having a free summer, I decided to do a grand tour of the Baltic Sea. Starting from Helsinki, my home town, and going counter-clockwise.

I'll be doing this trip on my '74 Albin Vega, "Zina". 1/3 to 1/2 of the trip will be solo sailing, but I hope I'll be able to attract enough crew not to have to solo the "longer" overnight trips.

I figure I'll start in mid-June, and be back by mid-August, celebrate the midsummer's eve at the archipelago...

That looks like fun! How far have you got? We bought a Vega (2732) last month and sailed her home from Gothenburg to Copenhagen. Great little boat. Message me if you haven't reached Denmark yet – I might buy you a Carlsberg :-)

I've finished it! The trip went well, apart from the horrible cold weather in June. No equipment failures, no breakages, the worst thing that happened was that I badly scraped the paint on my starboard side on the jetty when departing in high winds in Lubmin, Germany.

Here's the trip map http://i.imgur.com/0c8XAnA.jpg as it turned out. Took pretty much exactly two months, and covered a little under 1500 nautical miles.
