Whats best crew wanted site, how much charge backpacker passengers

Crewbay works well, and is free.


FindACrew seems to have slightly more candidates. It pretends to be free but after a long and tedious enrollment process charges $87/month (!) to be useful. I may relent and pay them one month if Crewbay does not work out.


I am more interested to have happy crews with no baggage for coastal sailing. I once had an extremely experienced naval captain as crew who was not happy that things were not done like the navy.


I ask AU$50/day for all expenses except alcohol. Not had any complaints, cheaper than renting a unit on shore. It covers my immediate expenses, but not maintenance etc.


I am clear that they are not passengers. And that sometimes it can get rough. And that the boat is very nice but not perfect.


Crew come and go. I have yet to find the perfect crew.
