The orignator of this idea was shore based but with a colour printer, digital
camera and computer (plus the
power to run them), a cruiser could do this for a living whilst
living aboard.
The guy we saw made limited run postcards of other sailors on their visiting yachts. The postcards were laid out with conventional local touristy type shots in each quarter - the name of the place just like you see on most postcards, and an oval in the centre into which a
photo of the
charter aycht, complete with crew, had been inserted.
He took such
charter yacht pictures as the yacht came into the anchorage / harbour, printed off one copy on same day, and presented it as a sample to the charterers. He then
sold (and he seemed to sell them to everyone he showed them to) 10, 20, 30 cards for the equivilant of 1 euro each.
It seemed such a simple novel idea I thought it may be worth repeating here for anyone seeking a living whilst underway.
Cheers
