Re: Blakely Harbor SV Ayni rich jerks
Re Blakey Harbor SV Agni rich jerks.
"and is crewed and skippered by some total arrogant impolite jerks."
The crew would have been taking orders from the Skipper. That doesn’t make them arrogant, impolite or “Jerks”.
Please continue your tirade with your explanation of your correlation between “Rich” and “Jerks”

Re: Blakely Harbor SV Ayni rich jerks
I agree with you Fiveslide. When I reach Long Island Sound, on my port is New York City and to starboard is "open sea". I ALWAYS turn starboard. Though the skyline is impressive, I know what it's like at ground level!!! Nonetheless I respect Sabre's appreciation of his City's skyline and though he was deprived of the view, I guess the skipper of a 27 meter boat has very few options for choosing a safe anchorage.

Re: Blakely Harbor SV Ayni rich jerks
I stand by my post that you are talking about Blake’s Island. This is the state park just out from Rich Passage picture is correct. Name is wrong. Just saying.....

Re: Blakely Harbor SV Ayni rich jerks
It’s Blake Island not Blake’s Island.

Re: Blakely Harbor SV Ayni rich jerks
The view of most of downtown including the Space Needle is cut off by Alki Point when standing on Blake Island.

This just gets funnier … now we’re arguing about an apostrophe. You can’t buy this kind of entertainment .

Blakely Harbor SV Ayni rich jerks
It wasn’t just the apostrophe, it was also the “s”.[emoji106][emoji79]

Crikeys! I'll sail a long way to be free of the sight of such blight.
Different strokes I guess, but I can easily understand that the skipper of the offending vessel might not have realized that someone really wanted to gaze at such a scene.

If that photo is anything like the real "view" seems like it would take an aircraft carrier to block it all. And yes, this is the kind of view I usually try to avoid.
