All things COLREGS

Well, I decided to start a whole new thread to do with the COLREGS as I couldn't find a specific post just on the 'rules of the road' for boats.

Recently on the following thread

http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...-142297-9.html

The topic came up ( yeah I know I brought it up) of 'right of way', which I'd like to discuss because according to some 'there is no right of way on the water'? ummm.

But, in recently reading the COLREGS I thought there's quite a few 'questions ' that would be interesting to parse.

I'm also quite conscious that there are a number of extremely knowledgable mariners out there who the rest of us can learn from. (Acknowledgement to Dockhead who raised the prospect of such a thread but I'm sorry Dockhead, I couldn't wait )
