Waxing deck with a rough surface

Does anyone have a recommendation on what product to use to wax a deck that has a rough surface? The pattern is not uniform.
Thanks

The easiest and best that we have found is Woody Wax. Once it it applied and dries it actually helps with the non-skid properties. It was originally developed for varnished wood surfboards.

Is is really easy to apply. And seems to work well. I know our deck is in much better condition than sisterships and we wax every 3 to 6 months. Even dried fish blood just rinses off. We can also vouch for its effectiveness for protecting metal.
