Setting Pulley on Fuel Injection Pump?

On a 59hp Volvo Penta MD22P-B diesel, the pulley wheel on the fuel
injection pump has two marks, A & B, and two key grooves. For a
standard engine, (NOT TURBO CHARGED), can anyone please tell me
if the correct setting is by lining up on A or B ? Thanks in advance.

Setting for pulley on fuel injection pump

Hi Chief and thanks for your reply on the Volvo Penta MD22P-B
Unfortunately the Volvo workshop manual is not clear on that point.

All it says is: "The fuel injection pump pulley has two adjustment marks
(A and B) and two keygrooves. The keygroove on the same side as the
relevant adjustment mark must always be used".

Apparently the engineer on the job thinks that either A or B is for the
setting position for a turbo engine and the other is for a non-turbo.

The engine has been played around with by an unqualified guy prior to
the engineer taking over, and he just wants to confirm what A & B means.

Do you or anyone else have any further comments please???
