Re: Paint color's

@CMH - I'm going to disagree on that one Nobody walks up to you at the bar and asks "Are you on that blue yacht?". But I've been asked "Are you the one with the golden colored hull?" several times before

Hi, Paul,

What, sold on continual artist brushes touch up? or sold on letting sleeping dogs lie? Enquiring minds want to know.....

By the bye, you would notice the boat being warmer in NZ, probably a good thing in winter, and being a lot warmer if you want to visit Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia.

We painted our topsides a slightly grey automotive LPU, roughly 14 yrs. ago, and it is still shiny. Our deck is a whiter white, and our non-skid, a still whiter white. The areas on non-skid are cooler than the white regular deck paint. It's been so long since we did the measuring, I don't remember, but it was measurable with an infra-red thermometer.

Well, if you have gold colored top sides, you’ll definitely be the attention getter. But, there is no end to the favorable comments we get about the Blur Pearl. 😁 Chris

I live in Southern California and got a white car specifically because of heat.

For boat colors I want to be seen, so
Orange
Red
Yellow.

Orange is too busy for my taste.
I’m not a fan of red.
So I used yellow reflective tape to cover the existing stripe on the boat.

If I was going to repaint the hull it would have been Yellow.

Yellow is the second coolest color after white.
