Hunter 54: Refit, and a Month to Do it
This boat just got off of a truck from FL. It's a mess and we've been tasked to replace the sole, refinish the interior, remove the teak decking and paint her. All in a month. Here's a slide show so you can see the mess for yourselves....

Enjoy....

I figure we can just squeak in under the wire with our current work load. Just barely....

Can't say as I've ever seen cushions quite that color. It reminds me of...never mind
Even though you certainly don't need more work -- I sure hope replacing them is someone's job.

Wow, what happened to it? Underwater or just rode hard and put up wet?
Don't plan on weekends off the next month.
If this is the old 54 it was a pretty good boat in it's day. I think a 54 won the Miami - Montego Bay race back in the 80s.

One heck of a job. Good luck getting her back in shape.

It's the old H54 and yes, it's fast. Not sunk, just mistreated and then taken to DEA jail. She's fine structurally, just cosmetcs.

Re: Hunter 54 Refit and a Month to Do It In
Pretty obvious from the pics that they were searching for drugs. Wonder if they found any? Would be a shame to cut up a boat like that for no reason...

Yep. At least they didn't slice anything structural. All of that is fixable...

Wow, how many crews do you have for the work. Looks more like a 3 month project.

Re: Hunter 54 Refit and a Month to Do It In
Why would anyone ever add teak decks to a Hunter?

To get it done in a month I hope you are charging a premium.
