Headliner beading?

Hi,

I am working on a headliner project in one of our aft Cabins on a Jeanneau 42.2

I have done most of the dirty work and removed the old foam backed headliner and removed the adhesive etc.

The new headliner will need to join along an almost right angle. I think I need to use a beading of some sort but I can’t screw it in as the backing is GRP (the hull) any suggestions on how best to hide the join?

Thanks

Actually I am now thinking I will use a carpet style liner on the hull wall (as it will be warmer if some rolls on to it in the bunk) I assume this is pretty standard for walls of berths?

Vinyl will be used on the ceiling

Same problem applies though!

Re: Headliner beading?

Well I finished the job. I just butted the vinyl close up to the carpet and i think it looks pretty good

I used closed cell foam to insulate as well

Glue pvc trim into the corner and butt up headlining / carpet to nice straight edge. Comes in various sizes 10x10, 15x15 and 20x20. Depending on how rounded the corner is it can be glued with the chamfer towards the corner or facing outwards.
