Re: Yamaha Enduro 2 Stroke 15HP Service Manual

I think I have a hard copy. Have the same older model. Let me know if you want to snap a picture of the subject you need and watsup it to you.

Have a question on fresh water flush - my water intake is under the wing facing down on the prop. Any idea how to freshwater flush without running it?

I had to get a new outboard as my new tender needed a short leg and my enduro was a long leg.

As far as I know you will need to run it to flush it

Re: Yamaha Enduro 2 Stroke 15HP Service Manual

I have a 15hp Enduro. Two strokes no longer available in oz.

I wonder about the flushing. Rabbit ears do not really seal properly. No flushing means slow corrosion. Not enough cooling water means rapid engine destruction.

BTW I will be selling the engine and tender in Brisbane in December. I needs something smaller that I can haul up a beach on my own.

Thats why I sold my Tender and Enduro...

Ended up with a 4 Stroke 20HP Tohatsu (same weight as the 15HP and was all I could get at the time) and a 3.3m TruKit Discovery Tender with inflatable wheels - Easy to pull up any beach by myself (unless its muddy) - I no longer bother to anchor the tender as its so easy to drag up the beach or back out when the tide goes out - Best bit of boating equipment I ever purchased!!!

Re: Yamaha Enduro 2 Stroke 15HP Service Manual

Generically speaking, there are three methods to flush an outboard: using the freshwater flushing attachment built into the outboard, flush bags [see pic], or flush muffs.
More ➥ https://yamahaoutboards.com/blog/mai...of-an-outboard

According to BoatUS: Yamaha gives three choices — with a flush bag, muffs, or hose-port connector and says all three methods work equally well.
Bag and Muffs: Engine should be vertical, run no more than 800-900 rpm in neutral for 15 minutes with the prop removed. Be sure the engine is receiving cooling water (by checking the overboard indicator). If your outboard has more than one set of cooling inlets, a flush bag should be used.
Flushing Port: Engine should not be running; it can be tilted or vertical. Prop should be removed. Flush for 10-15 minutes.
