Depends on how much space and comfort you want. 60ft monohull - probably a very nice boat, = 40ft cat for space - price difference marginal and the mono is going to roll at anchor, tip over on a beat and spill the wine, and need to anchor out in shallow anchorages.

the negative of buying in those place...
your 1st year cruising will be spent getting back "upwind"
An experienced owner who knows what to look for can find a deal if they spend a lot of time and effort traveling around and walking the docks.
An inexperienced buyer is likely to get the proverbial "pig in a poke" after spending $5-10k on travel expenses. Then more as they figure out how to do repairs in remote places.

If you want a turnkey bluewater boat, here is one going up for auction soon. The previous asking price was $275k, but you can probably do a lot better.
