Of course if fishing is one of the main objectives then it would be a shame to skip the Bahamas. Epic Big Game fishing and fly fishing.

From the Bahamas getting to the W Carib is relatively easy. Just get a bit more S into the Caribbean Basin and hang a right. From there its normally easy off wind Trade Winds sailing all the way.
