I fully agree with your conclusions. They are like most modern french cars, built to a price and a market segment. Nice design - not always the most practical.
Build quality is medium at best. Too heavy and very safely rigged (to be polite).

In fact the new ones carry this a step further in my opinion.

Anyway, you are still welcome for a sail if you are down here.
