I'm eager to see that new model, and especially the "balance" between performance and comfort they have chosen.

Possible to know the targeted displacement ?

Ps : Sorry wanted to edit, but something went wrong.

We are going to be there at the show, it will be interesting to see what this is all about. I'll report back incase there is information/pictures there that you wouldn't be able to get off the internet.

Anybody else find it interesting that Outremer has a new 7X model coming out with one of those totally unsafe forward cockpit areas? I am curious how the hard core sailors who would only sail a performance boat and not anything as unseaworthy as a Leopard with a forward cockpit react to this. Or maybe it will just become accepted now that a performance manufacturer has it as a feature.

Interesting ! Thanks for that.

That pic is a 3D render then ?
(I doubt they could have a prototype or hull #1 out without any pic leaking)

Huge difference between Leopard forward lounge and Chris White Atlantic forward cockpit. One is a big lounge suite with a huge roof and the other is a safe place to sail the boat from.

Yes, rendered!

Since Outremer (or more precisely Grand Large Yachting, the parent company also owning Garcia and Allures) bought Gunboat, the 7x is more or less cancelled, not sure why they keep it on their site. And by the way Gunboats also have forward cockpits.

The new model will be in between the current 51 and 5x.

Can you expand a bit on the safety problems? I read a thread about the Gunboat forward cockpit but the forward space on the 7X doesn't look like a cockpit in the sense that you'd operate the boat from there?

They've said "some exciting features never seen on an Outremer before" but at least it still seems to have sails

Don't think it's rendered. And for sure it's not a photo of the new 55 since build number 1 will be ready in a year from now... Looks like a 5X or a 51 with the structural longitudinal beam option.

Moulding of build number 1 starts these days and they already have a long list of preorders... amazing..
