1) Make it clear and in writing that you pay nothing if the boat, post
charter, is found lacking.
2) Pay nothing prior to receiving the
survey.
3) No way to have anything done for free. Brokers and layers cost
money.
You may save some
money if you can appoint a person to represent you in situ. Maybe you have some sailing friends that you can trust and who are cruising this area?
