Re: Catamaran Haul-Out Marinas

For what it is worth, the SneadIsland in Palmetto info is incorrect. They are only able to haul a 19’ beam.

Barkers Island picks up catamarans in Lake Superior. The local Lagoon dealer uses them and has a small fleet of charter cats https://barkers-island-marina.com/service/

Re: Catamaran Haul-Out Marinas

RonRicco, thanks. I've corrected Snead Island.

newboat, thanks, I've added Capri.

Barefootviking, thanks, but Barker's Island can only do 16.5ft beam (I called them). The Lagoon dealer uses Port Superior Marina's crane, which I added, as well as Gore Bay Marina.

Torrmundi...thank you for your efforts. This is great! I'm a FL native, now transplanted to the Great Lakes (Toronto).

I have another one for you.
Marina amarre-hélice 514-246-6755
2-32e Avenue,
st-paul-de-i'lle aux Noix, Quebec.

This is on the Richelieu River between Montreal and Lake Champlain

They use a Conolift, hydraulic trailer. I'm not sure the max beam on these lifts but they bunk under the bridge-deck.

Hi I'm new here. I'm having trouble figuring out how to post something. I'm looking for the maybe you call it trampoline material for the front of a catamaran so I can replace the trapeze. But I can't find a supplier for the materials. I'm in Costa Rica I'm an American citizen but I'm in Costa rica. I would appreciate some suggestions as to where to get the materials and some advice on how to post questions on this that doesn't seem to be a way to post questions on the form that I've discovered yet. Maybe it's obvious and I'm missing it. Thank you very much. Al

Re: Catamaran Haul-Out Marinas

Welcome Alan :-)

It seems to me that the sub-forum Construction, Maintenance on and Refit would be the most suitable place for your enquiry.

As for where to get stuff for your trampoline, I would think that Sailrite can furnish anything and everything you might need, including a capable sewing machine if you don't have one already. Also all the hand tools needed by a canvas worker. Shipping to CR should not be a problem.

https://www.sailrite.com/

I'll see if I can move your post to that forum :-)

All the best :-)

Barkers Island Marina, 250 Marina Dr

25'-3" (possibly larger)

hauls a 42' Lagoon every winter on their Conolift trailer....i just confirmed w Superior Charters & Yacht Sales (Lagoon dealer). The trailer is modified to lift the keels from I-beam girders. They can't go much wider than the 25'-3" of the L-42. They'd have to measure but they should be able to handle the 25'-10" beam of the L-46. LOA doesn't matter much

Re: Catamaran Haul-Out Marinas

AlanLev, These guys near St. Petersburg Fla. make tramps and are well regarded.https://multihullnets.com/

To post a new question just go to that forum and and click on New Thread and put your question there. I'll disagree with Trente-Pieds even if he is a moderator because your query is specific to a type of boat. I think Multihull Sailboats (this forum) would work for this question cause monohull sailors don't know much about tramps.

Re: Catamaran Haul-Out Marinas

Hi Y'all. Newbie to the forum here.

The Cooper River Boatyard in Charleston, SC can haul vessels up to 30' in beam. They use a Grove Crane with spreader bars to haul the vessel and a Conolift hydraulic trailer to move vessels in the yard.

I've heard weight limits of 60,000 lbs for monohull powerboats, 50,000 lbs for monohull sailboats and 45,000 lbs for catamaran sailboats. There are rumors of a bigger crane coming in 2024. The trailer limit is 100,000 lbs so a bigger crane makes sense.

Cooper River Boatyard
1300 Pierside St
North Charleston, SC

I hope this helps.
