Sewing. I have always had a sewing machine aboard, and I have made everything from mainsail covers, lee cloths, weather cloths, to wraparound skirts to give to islanders...
That's, I think, most important and valuable advice!

Not quite! She's around 46 feet, including the sugar scoop and bow roller.

I did not see anyone list a mast climber anywhere. probably a unit that you could do solo.

Ann, it is so subjective who knows? I guess in advertising it is what the seller wants it to be? Like a drive away car.

SailorBob,

Thank you for the kind words.

Trente Pieds, our present boat is 46 ft., not 55, so safely out of the "big boat" category. But, yes, we do have more room for *stuff* than any 30 footer I've seen. ;-)

Re: "Sail Away"? What else is needed?

Ah, yes - failing memory! I recall (I think) having seen somewhere that that is more common among men than among women ;-)

I could actually stow a work table of 48" x 84" as two panels under my stbd settee cushion and sawhorses like Bulawayo's in my lazarette. But you'll recall that TrentePieds actually keeps a full-size van for the purpose of containing all the tools and general clobber she collects. There is even room for the Pfaff complete with original table and motor :-)

That works for us cause the Salish Sea is a very confined water with good road access on all sides. It wouldn't work for you I'm sure.

Cheers

TrentePieds
