Hello,

A few areas of progress to share today. Got all the new cabinet doors stained on one side, also the chain locker door. Got our new Lewmar size 2 opening portlights in which will be a time saver. Going a bit over the size of the original hole allows us to simply cut it bigger as opposed to glassing.

Made some templates for the size 4 portlights and size 2 portlights. The size 2's will be in the v-birth and head and hanging locker. The size 4 portlights are for the entry door where we got rid of the drop boards and also the salon.

We have two additional size 1 opening portlights we are going to cut into the kids quarter births that will open up things for them. Better light and more ventilation and will open into the cockpit.

Also got our carbon dioxide detectors and the E2000 paint we're going to use on the interior areas. I'm sure there is more but nothing comes to mind right now. Oh, one last thing we had to buy a new Makita belt sander since someone stole ours from the last boat yard (not impressed). Those darn things are expensive and SO handy for boat work.

Templates for the size 2 opening portlights. Cannot wait to get these new portlights mounted in the boat. Also got two rolls of bed-it marine butyl tape in per some suggestions here.

Also considering the insane idea of modifying the companionway steps to change how we access the storage where an inboard diesel would have been. Not sure how insane I'm feeling so going to sit on that for a few weeks. Oh went to West Marine and they price matched to another local store on the anchor chain. We went with 200 feet of 1/4 HT G43 to match our manual windlass (Lofrans Royal).

anyone have any good ideas on the push to open/unlatch buttons we can use on the cabinet doors? Looking for something that is secure and won't accidentally open and that sits flush. Something like the Beneteau or Island Packet cabinets

so we had our first lobster grilling experience, it was everything we hoped it would be and more. WOW, I need more of this. I think this should be a thing we do every week!

A few more things came in the mail. Domectic CFX65 dual-zone fridge freezer. Two Renogy Eclipse 100 watt panels, waterproof charge controllers and a few other odds and ends.

Also planning to install a decent battery bank, another small panel and looking like a MarineKinetix MK4+ Marine Wind Generator. Checked my template for the Lewmar size 4 opening portlights and they are indeed bigger than the Beckson Newport portlights so I can simply cut the wood in the salon deadlights to make them fit perfectly.

Also, am going up to size 3 lewmar opening portlights after some supply chain issues for the other five opening portlights. Ordered a few other items but now I need to get out this week and cut in those number 4 portlights and glass.

I know a few people had suggested the Wagner airless paint sprayer, any model in particular? I have been looking at the two models below, one from Lowes and another from Amazon. Thinking we could use this to do topside paint if we need to.

Not sure if I mentioned this a while ago, but even though the hull paint from the waterline to the bulwarks is actually in great shape there is some spray paint on it. There is actually a fair bit of silver spray paint (overspray). So If I cannot clean that off I think we will just repaint the whole deal.

Also once the fairing is done we will need to spray the decks before non-skid is applied. I think we will uses brushes on the interior stuff. Anyone with advice please send it.

Got the boat picked up off the trailer today. I will be in the yard this week doing new thru-hulls and cutting out the holes for the larger portlights. Also got our Katadyn Power Survivor 40E in the mail today.
