Insulating a 44ft - How much Armaflex will I need?

Hi all,

I am looking for people that have used Armaflex insulation on their boats and could give me a rough idea of how many meters have been used and the reality of it.

I know I could roughly measure the hull and have a good idea of how much I would need. But I also know that when you take on a project like that, there is a lot of off-cuts, corners, extra here and there that we forget to calculate.

I also understand that each boat and hull are different and were constructed in a different way but again, always good to hear from people's experience.

I used 1.5 rolls. Each roll is 4' x 25' long. Insulated from gunwale to the waterline. It's a 36' boat, beam 11.5'

I did not insulate the fwd chain locker or the port quarter. All I measured was the length per side that I wanted to insulate and the max height from gunwale to waterline. There was very little waste. I cut it with scissors.

Hull was nearly gutted, so I had good access to the hull before installing cabinets.
