Herreshoff 36 deal

I wonder if anyone knows about this boat. I think the name is Kelendria 3. Fiberglass, built in NZ, 36 feet, long keel, stern hung rudder. Currently in Darwin arrived from Cookstown and is for sale. Price seems too good to be true. Trying to figure out what is the catch?

Re: Herreshoff 36 deal

IIRC Seaglass made a bunch of them in NZ, along with a few Bounties and ? Mobjacks.

They called them Herreshoff, but I doubt he had anything to do with the 36, they are definitely not Nereias.

From the look of them they have a Nereia type of hull, with no clipper bow and a “ Compass H28” type of deck and cabin

The Compass was a very successful version of the H28 in NZ, and I understand the designer ? Gary Lidgard had some correspondence with LFH about this boat before he passed, not sure if he approved of it or not.

And what happened to IIrc Seaglass boat yard? I can't find much info or contact? I wouldn't mind to be able to track down the origin of the boat.

Not the best looking, but it's only a hard top and a rigid spray hood, and some ugly shading clothe.

Re: Herreshoff 36 deal

So I bought her. Now I have two boats....yay. It was a really good deal, but now a few months of work required, non stop full time. My other boat is sadly up for sale:
