I have recently purchased a 1983 Flicka, in good shape except that electrolysis has eaten away at the two gudgeons and pintles below the water line as well as the bow fitting to which the bobstay is attached. I am curious is any other
Flicka owner has dealt with this problem. Do all three gudgeons need to be replaced? Can a new bow fitting be added above or below the old without coring out the old fitting? Would appreciate any thoughts.

Wish I could help you, I don't have a Flicka, but do you have photos? Are those bronze or SS?

I wonder if you had any luck with your Flicka? I was thinking that if it were me I'd probably look into having a new bobstay fitting made up, larger and with tabs bolted through the hull, like chainplates, super strong, at the waterline with an upper hole for the bobstay and a lower one for a snubber for anchoring. Though some folks use the bobstay fitting on some boats for a snubber, I doubt too many of those were built for that purpose. Good luck!
