Ah, she didn't just do it.

She had tons of experience before she sailed.

Pictured is her first boat which she built then it went from there to include racing starting at around age 8 solo. Her dog was her crew

Her family also lived on a boat and sailed when she was born and in her younger years.

And on top of all that experience, she was in excellent physical condition.

Maybe so, but why would you WANT to so spoil a good walk in the countryside?

Learning sailing I get. I can go places with those skills.

This, too, could be cautionary.....

I mean, the head is otherwise known as the "seat of ease" (according to Patrick O'Brian anyway) so might not newbies wonder what they are REALLY supposed to do with that 'rope attached to the big white thing'..??

And if they were confused, might not the sh1t really hit the fan...??
