Who has fallen off the boat?

we had a guy fall off the bow on anchor watch one night in November, Baltic beeing at around 8deg Celsius.
he was totaly drunk but wearing his vest.
to his luck, the guy he replaced was still around having a smoke or we would have only caught on to him missing 10 minutes later. he spent 3 minutes in the water and 6 days in a hospital. 10 minutes later he would have skipped the hospital or any other rest of his life for that part...
