Use of Camera Eye in Hard to See Areas, above & below the water line.

Has Anyone used a Camera or Camera Eye to View Critical Areas Around their Boat ?!?

I ask this because a lot of my trips are single handed. I'd really like to view underneath the boat, like the Rudder, Prop. and Forward Looking at the the Bow, about a foot below the water line. Also, other than clear water and at night... not much to see.

I realize that keeping the Lens clean may/ will be a issue, along with mounting security and salt water corrosion.

Above Deck Camera's are widely sold & similar to security camera's by the Marine Supplier's. I'm asking.. what camera systems you may have and does it work well.

I did not see any Camera's or Camera Eyes for under water use. Perhaps, someone knows of an Underwater System that they may have come up with on their own. Nevertheless, I'd like to hear your view points on the subject.

My No# 1 reason for rigging up a Camera System is to see what is happening at my -- Rudder,Prop., (fowling) also to see something ahead that's just ahead... a submerged log or whatever.

Thanks in Advance,

Avery
