Skipmac floats his boat

Congrats to Skipmac who finally has floated his boat!

After years of him taunting me every Fall that he would have his boat back in the water before me he as finally managed to do it. I am a little worried about the reported flooding rate, but am sure he has read all the bilge pump threads as he has had lots of sailing reading time the last few years.

The boat may not look pretty, but it is his and it is in the water! So good job Skip!

I think I can make out a port hole that was replaced. Anything else?

Isn't that where the flooding is?

Seriously, just joking around.

Best wishes to Skipmac...there are few moments in life that compare to the first sensation of "back in the water" after an extended haulout!

Re: Skipmac floats his boat

Oh No! I've been outed. No more hiding behind a keyboard and proselytizing. Now I'll actually have to get on a boat and go sailing again. Hope it's like riding a bicycle.

Seriously, thank you all for the kind words. Cruisers Forum has been a great resource during the six years I've been rebuilding the boat, for technical support as well as moral support and encouragement. I really look forward to getting out on the water and meeting some of the crew.
