Routes for inexperienced skippers in Italy

Hello, for the summer of 2021 will probably go for a 10 day itinerary in Italy with a 45 ft sailboat with my husband. Was wondering if any of you guys know what are some easier sailing routes for skippers in Italy in terms of anchorage, winds and general sailing routes due to unpredictable shores. Basically where can i start, i have heard that Sardinia generally has a coastline that is more applicable to experienced sailors.. what are some easier sailing routes for a 10 day trip and why? thanks guys if you have any idea of whether France is a better option to Italy and which routes to take there that would be great too.

Re: Routes for inexperienced skippers in Italy

From what I have seen so far, Corsica is really top of the range: beaches, bays, marinas, weather. Can be a bit hot, busy and loud (in the marinas) though, in July and August. 10 days would allow you to get round the island. Only risk is if the Mistral blows you may have to stay put for 2 or 3 days, in any case on the west side (which is also the slightly more interesting side).

You can easy spend 10 days in the bay of Naples. Lots of islands anchorages, marinas..... Nice weather in the summer, not a lot of wind. Only difficulty is the constant traffic of high speed ferries crossing the bay in all directions. And south of Rome there are not a lot of english speaking Italians.
