You might be best off following Sailmonkey's
advice, I sure wouldn't trust a surveyor from there when your not a Mexican citizen and most likely planning to take the boat elsewhere. What kind and year of boat is it? People on the forum can probably point out problem areas to look for on a particular model. Buy a rubber mallet and moisture meter, then sea trial it yourself. Check
oil levels before trials then have them run full throttle for 5 -15 minutes minimum and recheck
oil and
noise of
engine. Also you want a full reverse to see how tranny and drive train is. Have a good flashlight to check into all nooks and crannies. Have the wife pack a horseshoe, can't hurt. Good luck!
