Flick of the switch is easier.


There is a manual parallel switch that’s never been used too.

My boat's depth finder setting is from the bottom of the keel, but I think the PO made the offset adjustment with all his "junk" on board plus the 352 lb Bukh Diesel

I removed all the PO's junk from the boat when I bought it. He left it near here after a two year cruise from Massachusetts to Florida and the Bahamas

Late after the diesel failed I replaced it with a 58 lb outboard. I also removed the 20 gallon diesel fuel tank, prop shaft, muffler, and all parts associated with that engine

Point is when the depth finder hits zero I still have a bit of reserve that has allowed me to make an escape turn before running aground a few times in the past
