Re: Crossing the Gulf Stream with Easterly Winds ?

if you're heading for the exumas, leave from marathon and go thru s. riding rocks on an over-nighter, keep on to chubb or andros...if going to the berries or abacos, keep on to the n.w. channel or further n. to abacos...the wind will be at a much better angle and you'll get a helluva ride from the stream...good luck/have fun..

Re: Crossing the Gulf Stream with Easterly Winds ?

If you're in doubt, wait it out. The stream can be a miserable trip in any wind condition. We've waited up to three weeks for a good crossing window.

Today looks good. Getting lighter as the day goes on.
