Winterising of catamaran in Greece or Turkey

Hi there,

Anyone knows for cheap marinas in Greece or Turkey to put our Lagoon 450 over the winter period?

At the moment we are anchoring at Corfu.

Last year we had a very good deal in the Marina di Ragusa, Sicily, when we didn't have to pay extra for the cat (same price as for monohull).

If anyone knows for some similar deals we would be grateful if you would share it with us.

Pete and Vess

Re: Winterising of catamaran in Greece or Turkey

Pete,
I've priced Cleopatra and Messolonghi several times against each other. For my cat, which is 17 meters by 8 meters,
Cleopatra:
Our offer on the 21st of October 2011 for 8 months berthing on land was 9200,00euro.
As we wish to make it more attractive to you and we do wish you to visit us whether your boat is finally haul out with us or not, we can offer you the price of 8200.00euro for the period that you are now requesting.

When I first contacted Cleopatra they stated they were the only yard that could haul a cat my size. The second year I advised them the boat was hauled at Messolonghi which prompted the reduction in price.

Messolonghi is attached. Their price is almost 1/2 for 12 months compared to 8. I'm on my third year there and very happy with the yard. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Pete, thanks for the thanks. As an FYI, here is the quote I got last month from Ragusa for 10 months. It's a pretty good price for the Med and will be on my short list in the future. I don't think the price includes VAT though.

Maybe they can better than that. Last winter for the Lagoon 450 we paid only €1320 with VAT incl. it was for the period 01/10-30/4 + 1month free.
Try to talk with them.
Good luck,
Vessna

Gee big cats are expensive!
Good price.for the 450, I don't think you will find better than Ragusa. Prices around proveza last year for a lagoon 380 were around 1500euro. Thee is also a new marina in Italy that might be worth checking out, near Bari.

Hi I have a small cat in the water at the Preveza city Marina on the town side. Its cheap 13 euro a night and when it gets too hot I book into the Avra hotel overlooking the boat for just 40 euro a night. Best of both worlds!

Just to say a BIG thank you to everyone who took time to reply to my post.
We are winterizing in Lefkas Marina, where we got a very good deal. We are paying less than €1900 (VAT incl.) for six months (same price as for a monohaul plus a few more freebies).
We like the marina and we like very much the town of Lefkada
