Hello, looks like we are headed to Nice next winter (oct,2023 thru March, 04)

Any advice in finding a reasonably priced 2 bedroom apt in Nice, or smallish Villa outside of town? Two of us - my wife and I. Maybe our poor old lap dog…

Maybe look at guarding a villa in the winter months. Most estate agents over here speak english. Try to contact them and see how that works out. Maybe they are not the right contact, but they will help you get started.
Otherwise in the winter month all summer rent villas, houses and apartments are empty.

houses and apartments are empty ... not during school holidays, christmas/february/april,
and and from Easter very difficult to find...

Sailormed and Bil56. Thanks much! Interesting idea about caretaking a vacation home. Never been into the med, so very interested in general background and ideas for wintering there,,, I always thought winter months were peak season in the Med. so are summer months the most popular??

Also, wondering what are the preferred ways these rental agents advertise their properties? In the US, AirBNB, VRBO, Zillow, Redfin etc are popular listing sites… wondering if local rental agents use different methods to advertise??

(We prefer to stay on the local economy, not 5star resorts.)
