Cheap haul out place Algarve and adjacent areas incl. Morrocco

Hi,

I am looking for a cheap place to haul out two catamarans for a low budget.
Be it in Algarve, Portugal or nearby Spain, or Morrocco.

Marina Portimao gave us an offer but it seems fairly expensive just for lifting and few days on the hard.

Apart from pressure washing we want to the work completly ourselves, we already have the paint.

The boats do NOT need to go out at the same location.
We do NOT need this to be a fancy and pretty location.
Both crews are liveaboards.

Boat 1
10.6m long
6.1m wide
5 metric tons weight
Time at land about 24hours between lifts, max 48hours

Boat 2
14.6m long
7.2m wide
I do not have the weight at hand but it's a fairly light cruiser racer
14 days between lifts

I appreciate any suggestions.

Only ever hauled out in Portimao on the Algarve..
Which yard did you ask, the one run by the marina that uses the travel lift or the one that uses a trailer.. I've marked the office on petal maps.
You could also check out Faro https://www.navily.com/port/nave-pegos-bruces-yard/4874

Thanks.

Yep, we asked the the marina in the back with the travellift. Super friendly lady in the office, but, unfortunately, a bit expensive.

Hence we looked into Morrocco but did not find something as if yet.

Will try Faro too.

Nave Pegos (AKA Bruce's yard) in Faro has generally been the cheapest yard on the Algarve, Their travel lifts are quite narrow (6m?) And can't take anything much wilder than a prout, but they recently installed a trailer system to do multihulls so that might be available...

Other options is to try is "Marina Formosa Algarve Boatyard" in Olhao next door. They have a hydraulic trailer so no trouble lifting a cat. In the past they where cheap, but the quote I got from them about 5 years ago was a bit expensive.

If you're willing to go further afield "Tagus yacht center" just next to Lisbon was a fair bit cheaper than the yards on the Algarve. They have a large travel lift, not sure what the max beam is, but they where hauling mid sized Lagoons and FP's when I was there last

Thanks.

I contacted Nave Pegos.
If they can not lift us with their equipment, maybe they can get a mobile crane service to do that.
I did that in the Netherlands and it was pretty cheap.

They used to use a crane once.. mayhap it's still there.
