Boat Insurance Companies

Can anyone give me some recommendations for sail boat insurance? We are building a 55ft Modified Monohull Ketch. We plan to put her in the water in San Diego Driscoll Mission Bay but we got to have insurance before we do that. WE will have her inspected before she goes in the water.? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. We are new to sailing world been working on our boat off and on for 10 yrs. Finally the girl is getting close to being completed.

Greatly apprecaite any recommendation on this.

Have you started by talking to a local marine insurance broker? There are many of them local to you.

This will be a challenge, finding someone to underwrite that will be difficult.
