USCG coordinates rescue of 2 off French sailboat Malosa
The 5th District U.S.C.G. coordinates the rescue of 2 off French sailboat Malosa, 1400 miles east of Bermuda.

The cause:

"The mariners were requesting to be disembarked from the vessel due to exhaustion, flooding, and issues with their electronic navigation system. "

Just speculating, but I would guess their electrical system went bust, and they were entirely dependent upon it working...
