FOR SALE - 1985 Tayana Vancouver 42 Aft Cockpit, Pullman berth, step deck
This Tayana is in excellent overall condition. She has a beautiful new Matterhorn White Awl grip paint job on her topsides, deck and cockpit. No teak decks from factory. She has a low hours (830) 4JH4E 54HP Yanmar engine in excellent condition. This motor runs like a top!

The fine attributes of Tayanas as blue water cruisers is well known. Larger water & fuel capacity, high life lines, granny bars, solid hull, well rigged and large fridge capacity are just a few things that make Tayanas stand out.

I am not going to list every link in the chain, every shackle aboard, but the following shows some of the upgrades aboard this vessel.

How current are those pictures? Judging from the description and the pictures, $90K seems like a really really good price for a V42 in that good a condition. Just wondering what kind of work she needs.

The Pics are all current, none more than a few weeks old.

I tried to get pics to show how sharp she looks but it's not easy to get that gorgeous shine on camera, like the size of those big swells that look so small on film!
I feel the price is good to move her along, which is obviously the goal. Considering a new yanmar is an easy 20g and a complete awlgrip spray job is also at least 20g , those two points alone put her ahead of anything else I can find to compare her to.

I want to get more pics on the link next week, including under sail (awsome excuse for a sail eh?). PM me if you want specific pics of anything, more than happy to show her off.

The Jib sheets run through blocks on the toerail. Not there at present but will all be in place next week.

I plan to re finish the galley with laminate in the next month or so as well, as "first mates" might like that finish a little better than the existing.
