S/V DESTINY:

S/V Destiny is for sale. She’s a 2003 Leopard 42 that went thru a major re-fit last year (2019) and is truly ‘turn-key’. Just load up your stuff and set sail for the Bahamas, the Caribbean, or wherever else is beckoning. We had intended to sail the Bahamas and the Caribbean for the next five years, but recent family health issues have changed our plans. S/V Destiny is unique in that she is one of the few cruising catamaran models with direct-shaft-drive propellers instead of sail-drives. This feature was an absolute requirement when my wife and I were looking to buy a catamaran. S/V Destiny also has skeg-hung rudders. You’ll find this ‘blue-water’ feature on very few catamarans. When the wind blows, Destiny is driven by a fully battened mainsail with slab reefing, a 110% genoa, or a spinnaker when the wind is behind you. When the wind settles, she’s driven very economically by a pair of 2013 Yanmar 3JH5E 39hp diesel engines with less than 2,700 hours on each of them. Destiny is the 4 bedroom/4 bathroom model, but we converted one of the bathrooms into a laundry-room with a Zeny washing machine. S/V Destiny is outrigged for sailing and living off the grid. She comes with a Rainman water maker (30 gallons per hour), a portable 2200 watt inverter-generator, solar panels, a new house-battery bank, large water and fuel capacities, tons of spare parts, and an outrageous amount of storage. These two models are almost identical to each other, except the Wynns sailboat is the ‘Owners Version’.

Hi Matt, we've decided to keep Destiny for a bit longer and do a little more cruising before we sell her. At this point, we haven't decided how long "a bit longer" may actually be, haha...
