After waking up at 1AM in cold 25 knot wind, I found myself having drifted into Rosario Strait due to insufficient anchor hold. 2 hours later I was re set. I need more anchor security. Bavaria 41, 2004. The Ultra anchor would be a great upgrade!

There are places we cruise where being on a shorter swing with anchor ring means we could get a better anchorage location.

I hope to complete the re-fitment of my Westsail 32 Phantom, lying now in Bellingham Washington, next spring and early summer. Thereafter I plan to return to La Paz and the Sea of Cortez for the first time since 2006. And from there, sail south down Mexico’s west coast, and onward to where the wind blows me.

From what I have learned reading about Ultramarine’s products, listed below, they will vastly ease my mind and improve my safety at the diverse anchorages I expect to encounter all along the way.
