Most any auto
electric shop that actually rebuilds things can convert an internal regulated
alternator to external. I had one done while I waited and watched once, it cost me $15. You might not be so lucky! You may want to just pick up a Motorola 60 amp or so instead. In the lower outputs like that they can go pretty
cheap. You need to know what case will fit your brackets etc. A good simple 3 step
regulator will do wonders for your
charging rate. I personally like the older
Ample Power units.
