Alternator High Voltage

Hi all,

I recently changed my house battery bank to Lithium. As a result, the alternator (70a) no longer charges the house bank, just the starter battery (50aH starter). It's a non-isolated system in that the starter shares the same negative circuit as the lithium, but they are not connected via the live circuit. I used to use a Victron Cyrix to combine the two batteries but this is now bypassed/unconnected.

Since making the changes, the alternator is going to 15.7v when running. This didn't happen before the changes. The alternator used to charge the batteries fine at 14.2V.

Is there something that could be causing this? Have I forgotten something?

It’s possible it has a voltage sense wire to the house bank thst needs to move to the start bank. . But not likky.

Otherwise I would pull it out and have a shop check it.

This ^ was it. The Vsense wire is wired to the Leisure battery bank. No idea why or where! Now to trace it and fix it ��*��
