Variable Speed Compressor - Air Conditioner

Ahoy folks!

I am looking to replace our domestic units with more efficient A/C units. We are learning out in the field from other cruisers that they love their variable speed compressor units. The units they love are 12v with built in inverters. I don’t need all that as we have a truck load of inversion as it is.

Would love feedback with your experience or knowledge of a 220v A/C systems with variable speed compressors and/or more efficient CFM per amp hour. We are looking for two sizes - 8-10CFM in cabins and 16CFM+ for salon.

We currently have Dometic Cruisair 8cfm in cabins and 16 in salon.

Excited to hear your experience or knowledge of best products to consider.

Hi there, I would chime in on this but I am lead of the rigging department. We do however have an electrical and HVAC dept that does a ton of these installs, as well as product testing. If you send an email to electrical@theyachtrigger.com Mike will get back to you with his recommendations and feedback on various units.
