Re: Raymarine s100 remote controller

Do you know if this is compatible with a SmartPilot ST 6002? If so I would be interested. Thank You. Bootlegger

Re: Raymarine s100 remote controller

I am not the OP but the remote is compatible if the AP is on a Seatalk-1 network. The remote uses Seatalk-1 to communicate with the AP and other instruments.

Seatalk-1 is the simple 3-wire interface Raymarine used for many years. I believe all ST style instruments have it.

Re: Raymarine s100 remote controller

There are mainly 2 types of connections for Seatalk-1. One is a plastic 3 terminal connector with a curved shape. Also, some connections are made with wires in screw or spring terminals. Typical wire colors are red (+12), black (ground) and yellow (data).

Re: Raymarine s100 remote controller

ST6002 is SeaTalk 1 only, but someone should ask if the "RF base" is included first as its not pictured. That part wires to the SeaTalk network and without it, the remote is not going to work with anything.

You are right. The RF base unit must be present for the wireless remote to work. The base unit looks like this:

Does the RF base come with this? If it doesn't I will not be able to use it. Thank you.
