I have 1 simple rule that has served me well for over 50 years. I NEVER ask what the price is. If the seller doesn't want to disclose a price that's fine with me. There's lots of fish in the ocean.

Well old man (I guess if you can call me son I can call you that, even though I'm probably older than you are) I think you just did waste your time putting the ad in if you are not going to give us any information about the location of the property.
After this I wouldn't deal with you for half the price if I was made out of money!

Imho, your post count makes me think this is your version of a free online ad service like Craigslist, the marine version.

Geez, do you want to sell it or not ?

Who knows who might be acquainted to someone who "can't afford it" ?

I'm not rich, but I have good friends who own half a town and more.

And yes, I didn't even finish reading your bleat to see the price.

After reading several other posts, I agree with the answers posted.

Re: nc sailboaters property cabin surrounded by water

For all we know it is all marshland with no reason to even put effort in to drive down and look at it.

If you can't even give a location there is no way you are going to sell it. Most folks with money don't want waste their time driving/traveling to see something that they could have excluded from their search by using google maps.

I just gotta reply to this guy !! Son, and I can use this to most any man, I can buy most anything I wish ! Life and work has been good to me!! All I know for sure is if ya want to sell something, you need to be ready to answer some questions!! Maybe a small change in attitude just might help !! Just my 2 cents

I've got this ocean front property in Arizona I would like to sell you. You probably can't afford it and it's generally in that direction.

You're right - my bad. But it kind of goes without saying that if I won't phone to ask the price then I sure as hell won't phone to ask what I'm thinking about buying.

Re: nc sailboaters property cabin surrounded by water

If you don't like the hassles of selling yourself then get a realtor. For what your asking their commission would be minuscule,

Re: nc sailboaters property cabin surrounded by water

http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...d.php?t=117201

He advertised it back in December with not much more information than now. A little better property description. "One room cabin with deck camper with deck."

May I ask, how much interest did it get when you didn't tell anyone where it was the first time?

Re: NC Sailboater's Property Cabin Surrounded by Water

This thread has been a good argument for why some sellers should use a broker.
